The Utila Child Health Project is focused on understanding the links between health and growth among children ages 6 to 18.

Our team is split between Honduras and the United States with researchers from Boston University and Washington State University.

Utila is a the smallest of the Bay Islands off the coast of Honduras. A diverse population of over 3,000 people inhabit the island.

Our study is looking at different aspects of health and stress among children of Utila and how that impacts their growth and development.
